Create a List

You’ll want to start creating your list/plan the night before. That way, once you wake up, you can start chipping away at your to-do list little by little. Imagine waking up by 6 a.m. And by 9 a.m. You’ve completed 40 to 50 percent of your list. You will feel accomplished and eager to continue the momentum you have started. Each check-mark off your to-do list is a little win, a small victory that you should be proud of.

Self-Care & Meditation

I recommend you look online for self-care tips. Put together a list of ideas you like, and implement them into your daily morning routine. We’ve put together a very nice curated self-care list on Pinterest consisting of the best self-care tips we could find. You can follow our board here and pin your favorite ideas, and get started ASAP.

For meditation, the process is similar. However, instead of using Pinterest, I would move over to YouTube. There, you want to create a YouTube playlist. You can do this by going to any video, and clicking on the plus/save icon under the video. Then you click on the plus icon again to create a new playlist, then enter a name. I recommend naming it meditation. Then decide if you want it to be public or private. It defaults to private, so if that’s fine click create, and you’re done. Now when you find meditation videos you like, you click save, and now you can save them on your meditation playlist.

The channel I use most often is Generations Zen. Not only do they have meditation-videos, but they also have relaxation and sleep-aiding videos. Relaxing sounds such as rainfall, water flowing, birds chirping, soft piano music, and more. They have binaural beats which could intensify a meditation session. They even have guided meditations. It’s a very relaxing Channel on YouTube. You can visit it by clicking here Generations Zen.

Workout

Find a workout routine you can stick to. Maybe you’ll go for a morning walk or run. You may go to the gym or try Tabata. The most important thing is that you find something to do and stick with it. I recommend yoga for those who are just beginning their fitness journey. Yoga provides just enough physical activity to help tone your muscles and prepare you for more rigorous activity down the road.

Create a System

What is a system? A system is an overall routine that you’ve created. One you could use to know exactly what you should be doing at any particular time. It includes every aspect of your life. From food choices to work, from the gym to reading, and dinner time. If you need additional tips, Pinterest, and YouTube are great resources for that as well. Are you seeing a theme here? I really love and enjoy these platforms. Luckily for you, if you like our recommendations so far, then you’ll love our productivity board on Pinterest. Actually, I’m sure you’ll love all of our boards on Pinterest, so be sure to follow our page here.

Planners are also a great way to outline, and keep up with the system you’ve created for yourself. We offer a nice array of planners here at Eager books. We have beautiful two-year planners available here.

Complete Challenging Tasks First

Our productivity tends to fall when we submit to procrastination. If it must be done, why wait? Knock out the tough things on your list first. Not only will you be able to engage in tougher conversations after since you’re already in that mindset, assuming you have multiple calls to make. But you’ll also get a boost of confidence from completing one challenging task, and then gain the courage to complete another just like it.

Ask for Help

Whether you’re at home or at the office. Try delegating several smaller tasks to others if you can. This is not a way to push off your responsibilities. Instead, it’s just a temporary way to lighten your load. So that you can get through your to-do list for the day without feeling burned out. This one is one of my favorites, of these top productivity tips.

Get up and move around

Get your blood flowing. Sitting in a chair all day, you may begin to get restless. Stand up, walk around, start some conversations, and go back to work a bit more energized. You can use this little trick whenever you feel stuck.

Stick to Brakes and Off Times at Work

Draw a firm line on work times. As an entrepreneur or employee, you may be tempted or even pressured to work over your hours, even once you’re home. Stick to your set schedule, there will always be work to do. However, you have to remember there’s more to life than just working. Enjoy your life, and time away from work.

Learn to Say No

You already have too much on your plate. You cannot afford to run yourself thin. You have to set and maintain healthy boundaries with everyone in your life, if and when conflicts in time arise. This is probably one of the most important, of these top productivity tips. You may have to say no to invitations, extra work, favors, lunches, or friends and family.

Eliminate Unnecessary Triggers

These triggers can steal your time and energy. Some examples may include activities such as spending too many hours watching TV, mindlessly scrolling through social media, shopping online or even in person. Maybe you’re a very friendly person that likes to talk to everyone you see. Well, that’s nice, but It may not be very productive. So make a list of things you can eliminate, and fill those time slots up with something more productive from the new system you’ve created for yourself.
